About Me
Born and raised in the Republic of South Africa, Anno comes from a lineage of rich musical heritage, being the grandson of pianist and drummer Albert Ndlovu until he discovered House Music while going through his old man’s cassettes and vinyl records around 2002.
Kick jumping his music career in 2007 at the age of 16, Anno’s love for music production and spinning records shortly saw him achieve great milestones. In 2012 alongside Yonikwama and Primus, he began a collaborative project that became well-known as Deep City Central and immediately had its first release lined up on Skalla Records and other notable releases on Anarchy Music, Multi Soul Records and Andy Compton’s Peng Afrika, which was shortly followed by collaboration’s with both local and international artists like Anelisa Blom aka Khonaye, Oral Deep and Nina Provencal.
Taking a break from the Deep City Central collaboration three years later, Anno focused on his solo career that immediately engendered to the release of his solo EP titled Galaxy Love EP, a single titled ‘Love & Lemons’ including remixes for artists such as Paul Solaris and has since been invited to play at numerable local festivals such as Can Do! Refresh (Campus Tour), After Work Fridays, Horizontal Ostgut, Annual Summer Spin City, Got Jinxed and many other prestigious events.
Maintaining some level of consistency on the production side of his career, he swiftly announced a collaborative project with one UK veteran synth musician Rob Pearson. Together they released a single titled ‘The Rose That Grew (Extended Studio Aart Dub)’ in the summer of 2015. Since then, the young lad has gained acknowledgement through a series of solid releases and has received widespread praise for his remixes, live sets and monthly radio show ‘In My Galaxy Radio Show’. Such accolades acted as a pinnacle to his steadfast and illustrious career and brought on a momentous change to his personal journey and garnered him a loyal fan base in South Africa and some parts of the SADC region, thus putting Anno on the map as one of the most promising artists within the SA dance music scene.
Word on the streets is that this enthusiastic producer and deejay is releasing a gorgeously layered 2 tracks EP titled L.O.V.E Forever and is busy finalizing a few logistics with his album.
